cc306
cc306
and this is what he told me last night...so if this is true..then what was i thinking getting the 306??
the same place they dynod the cc503 on stock heads they dynod cc306 on stock heads all with full bolt ons. 503 makes more power than 306 on stock heads. they got 372 on cc306 on stock heads and 375 on cc503. 306 outperforms by far with porting though. and this was tire.
either that or he might be a lil dissappointed with what power he makes when he is done

That doesn't seem right. The 306 will make more hp up top than the 503. I saw this at the track all the time when 306 guys would mph faster (about 1) than I would with the 503. The 503 however makes more average power up to about 5800 so I whipped the pants off of most 306 guys in the quarter. Stock heads or not, the 306 will make more peak hp than the 503 or there is some kind of tuning issue going on.
Is it possible that the operator of the dyno ran both the cc503 and cc306 to a relatively conservative rpm (IE 6k ). Were this the case, the cc306 wouldn't have had the opurtunitty to form its peak numbers and pass those of the cc503. The guy didn't say what rpm those numbers are at by chance?

these are the only numbers he gave me with rpms........CC 503 375 HP @5000 RPM 426 TQ @ 4000 Needs same stall...but aint that a hell of alot of torque just for cam only??? i'm not knocking the guy..if it happened it happened..i'm just wandering if i got the wrong setup myself, lol
i mean i myself only made 345 on a 355 with 306, and i'm sitting at righat around 375-80 with my 383 and 306...but granted i'm leaving a lil on the table using shorties, and 52mm tb
