Dash lights acting up

Hi, I just bought a 94 Z-28 about two weeks ago and I am just starting to drive it. Today i noticed that two of the lights in the dash were faintly blinking. One was the brake light and one was the trac light. I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas on what my problem might be before i take it to a shop

Thanks,
Matt

Many of the dash lights have signals that connect to a ground terminal on the passenger side inner fender, next to the red postitive terminal. This ground post is a common problem for poor contact as only the threads of the post that screw into the fender provide the ground connection. Remove the negative terminal from the battery. Remove all the connections to the ground post. Remove the ground post and and using some sand paper remove the paint from the fender right under the ground post. Clean the post and the fender area thoroughly, including the wire terminals. Reinstall and that will likely fix your issue.
