I was looking at the Summit kit, going 30 over, mag block, line hone, deck block etc. Would like to do it all myself, except the machine work, I have a brand new LE-2 setup coming next week. I have a good spare shortblock with 90k that needs a rebuild. Also looking for a reliable machine shop in New Jersey area? Any advice would be appreciated!

Yea i know, i started the thread to see if i could get a more in depth discussion on whos done what, were they had it done, did they do it themselves, what was the cost? Etc I know what the book says, books are great as a guide, there is no substitute for the human expereience.
