Dyno #'s from my LE2 cammed 355

Got the car on the dyno, but I had a lot of problems on both runs. when we first tried to get a full run the tranny wouldnt come out of 1st gear, and then once we got the car into 2nd, 3rd gear wouldnt hold. Finally we got it into to stay in gear and let it rip. Well half way through the 1st run a rocker came loose, it wasnt real bad but you could definately hear it. We let the car cool down and see if the car would hold on for another run. well almost at the end of the last run 2-3 rockers came loose. the car sounded real ugly when we drove it off the dyno On the way home the car wouldnt shift at all, I went home in 1st gear. I've been having a lot of problems with my car lately, and I havent got my car running 100% yet. I still have to install the new fuel pump, 32# Racetronix inj. and finish up the heated O2 sensor conversion. Here's the #'s and a graph...

1st run was 347hp@6200 324tq@4700

2nd run 346hp@6000 325tq@5200

What about the heads? Stock? You get that transmission ironed out and the rockers adjusted and it will run nicely!

thats a bad example of not having the right tq #, because of all of his problems, so dont look at this as a common thing. cam only cars usually make 340-350rwtq which is fine to run mid to low 12's with a nice set of tires.

Well im still running the stock heads, intake, 19# inj, fuel pump, and 156k mile tranny. Alvin@PCMforLess did the tune but it still needs some part throttle tuning, not much but just a few things to improve driveability a little. I have all the parts sitting under my bed, Im just too busy to install them. I have to start looking into a tranny rebuild, but it wont be done til I get more $$$.

Some bolt-on LS1's(auto w/ big stall) were puttin down 340-345 RWHP and some cam-only LS1's almost hit 400 RWHP. The bolt-on cars ran low, low 12's to high 11's so I know I wont be far off once I get all the bugs worked out.

Vids will be up soon, alot of guys asked me if I had a blower cuz the intake sounded so loud. Im so used to the sound, but it sounds really loud on the videos. I had a video from when I pulled off the dyno and the car sounded really ugly, you could hear the valves staying open and the rocker clatter. Unfortunately I deleted it but you guys get the idea.

Finally got the vids, first one is when the tranny wouldnt go into gear and dyno run was aborted. 2nd one is when we finally got the tranny to stay in
3rd gear, and the last is of my car when I pulled off the dyno. I dont know if you can hear the valves staying open once I try and park, IDK what it sounds like since I just got my digital cam back right now. seems I didnt delete that last vid from the cam.
