When I do my cam and have the intake off, would it be worth while to have it ported?

No not really. To port the intake effectively you really need to cut it open then re-weld it back which gets costly. You can port it without cutting but hogging out the ports on the intake then bolting it up to heads that have stock port size will result in tremendous turbulence. the only thing that might work is port matching. You can look at the intake ports on the heads and copy them exactly to the intake manifold ports so they match exactly. But if the head ports are smaller than the intake ports it wont work.

If it is just a cam only car, then I would say no. If you were going to have your heads ported as well, then it might not be a bad idea.
