think i can I use these rockers on my lt1 cam swap?

ill be using the crane spring and retainer kit....
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...rt=CRN-10308-1

and a cc503 cam.

these are 3/8 Harlan Sharp 1.65 ratio roller rockers. my friend had them on his Iroc and had the wrong length pushrods so the bottoms of all the rockers scraped the heads where the rocker stuf is pressed in. think these are still safe to use? also, he cant remember, but i know he did not use guideplates on his motor, can anyone tell me for sure if these rockers are self aligning, which is what im looking for.

also will the 1.65 be too much for my setup or will it be suitable, as opposed to regular 1.6's that i would buy new.

Is the "wrong length pushrod" prognosis because of the contact made or was the geometry really off?
Other people have problems with massively huge, gargantuous aluminum rockers:

I'd just buy some Pro mags used if anything, they're a pretty nice rocker.

I am running those with that cam right now. I had to install ARP studs because the tappered nut on them allowed them to clear compared to the stock studs. I also installed lash caps to raise the rocker off the stud some to give even more clearance and center my contact on the valve stem. You could also install longer pushrods to raise it. Depends which way you want to move the contact patch. I do not know if it's the rocker or my setup that caused clearance issues orginally. They do look like all other rocker arms though.

I broke the new cam and springs in for about 500 miles before installing the 1.65's. I felt a clear preformance increase with these arms for sure. Buy GM guideplates as CC guide plates or any others to not work. They rub the pushrods. See my pic album to see that. Anyway, some pics.

You can see how they were hitting the stock studs here. The Arp's are tappered at the top and clear. No pics of those or the lash caps on the valve tips though.

ill be running 3/8 self aligning rockers with no guideplates. im only upgrading the rockers, springs, retainers, shims, locks, timing chain and the cam. nothing else mechanically. would i have a problem using those proform rockers i posted from summit? i cant see that a different rocker on a different spring will cause that much of a problem.

are there any rockers that people know FOR SURE, dont rub and work with what i want?
