Question egr port cleaning

how can i clean the ports from the egr on the intake manifold, with out removing the intake manifold? do i just spray some carb cleaner in there or what? im getting an egr code and cleaned the egr valve but not the ports from the intake ,i still get a code every once in a while ? does the egr valve ever go bad?

You can not do decent job of cleaning this without pulling the intake. You will be shocked how nasty it is in there and the crap you to break loose will end up in your engine.

I would not even try it again without pulling the engine. Pull it, clean it and block it off.
My 2 cents.
