Lifter Question - Melling lifters OK?

I've got a high mileage (250K) corvette LT-1 that I've had two lifters fail now within one year...I replaced just the one previously, and now that I'm on my second, I don't want to pull the intake every year to replace one lifter, so I've decided to do them all...My question is, I'm looking for an inexpensive factory replacement lifter to do the job, and I see that Advance Auto Parts has a Melling liffter that is supposed to be a factory replacement for $9.99 - Does anyone have any experience with these? Would this be OK for a high mileage engine that's not really used routinely in performance mode? The Melling P/N is: JB-2079

What do you all think?

Melling is the OEM oil pump supplier not some cheap aftermarket parts group. There are also VERY few lifter manufacturers compared to brands(this can be said for a lot of things), so they are likely the exact same lifter as a more popular brand anyway, would not suprize me if they are exactly stock lifters.

I didn't think they were the same??

Yes mellings are fine and I have only used stock lifters in my motor. Can't justify $500 for a lifter that does the same thing.

Well $10 x 8 is $100 after tax. Or damn close.

If you just need 1 then yes its fine. If you need a whole set you can often find low mileage used ones dirt cheap.
