Ed Wright gets his all natural T/A nine (video link)

Make sure to right-click/save-as

I've been following Ed Wright's progress and rootin' for him for a few years now with his 383L1, GMLT4 heads, 4L60E and GM PCM controlled Black T/A

Stuck in the low 10s for ages it seemed. He just sent me that link to his 9.95 @ 134mph

Congrat Ed!

Karl Ellwein
PS: he's been seen going to the 330' mark with the rear wheels but this launch is more mild.

Maybe you missed AIs 9.x run with LT1 heads, LT1 intake, and a 383?

no way did I miss that Dragbear run. Quite impressive.

This thead is to congratulate Ed Wright for his nine. What's up with that dude?

Mistake on my post above. Ed just told me he finaly went to the F.A.S.T. engine management and shfts at 7900rpm even though the motor is pulling well past 8000.

So because another company has achieved 9's no one else is allowed to do the same? I didn't read anywhere in the orignal post where Ed was in pioneer territory.

Well considering that Ed worked with Rich to get his times and they know each other well I wouldn't argue about it. Ed thinks there is a 9.80 in that thing!

So who here downloaded that video? Ed's wheel stander is so fun to watch.

I guess at the LSX/LT1 Etown shootout Ed dang near flipped it over on the roof. And then for his good launch broke the 2nd gear band in his 4L60E, (but still trapped 132mph).

I watched both cars run in englishtown at the shoot out and they both run very very well. What I cant figure out, why with all these cars nobody has made a fullweight car extremely fast. I mean I understand less weight means faster passes, hell but why not build a 800-900 RWHP powerplant to mavo a fullweight car? We have a car near hear somewhere, ive only seen it at the track once, it weighed 3900 lbs and ran 6.2's in the 1/8th. Everybody else guts and chope there cars.
