cylinder wall questions

cylinder wall questions

is it unheard of to have a block from a 90k mile car go into the machine shop(building 383) and not need the cylinder walls to be bored any ?

yea, i have 383 pistons, but i ordered .030 over..

I had a 130,000 mile block go into the shop that my machinist said had as straight a set of bores as some of the 50,000 mile blocks he had seen, but he still reccomended a hone with torque plates.

i did .030 on a block with like 98k or so (i think it was the originally block looked it)
