hi everyone. im new here but i have a problem with my car.
1994 z28 with about 125,xxx miles. The problem only happens sometimes. When i am going down the road at a steady pace with low rpms and i want to give it some gas the rpms jump up and down and the car then downshifts (automatic) and takes off in the high rpms, It runs fine in high rpms. Or if i am at a stop and take off slow it will do the same thing. When it cuts out, loud clicks come from the driver side of the engine. I checked the fuel pressure and it was fine about 40 - 45 psi. I had the opti replaced about a year ago. and the SES light is off.
Any ideas?

yeah maybe. i always read on other forums how 1994 z28 always have this kind of problem.

 

I had a similar problem, my coil wire was bad. Bad meaning corrosion on the coil plug and in the wire boot. Eventually the boot fell off. Hope this helps - good luck.
