opinions on afr 190 heads
I'm thinking of ditching these heads for something better or I guess haveing these done up somemore. Some people tell me the afr 190's are great, others tell me theyre crap and arent going to get me into the 400rwhp range without spray. What do you think?

There is a guy down here that has a set of AFR's on the board for sale, they are suppose to flow 301CFM.

Re: opinions on afr 190 heads
We've tested a couple sets of AFR 190's at Thunder Racing and found 230 - 240 cfm peak versus 260+ cfm advertised. However, the 210 and bigger stuff all seems to flow within 5 cfm of advertised. My 210 RR's flowed 280 cfm peak versus 285 advertised.
I've been told that AFR uses a 4.125" bore fixture to get their flow numbers, which can account for 5 cfm difference, but not the 20+ cfm difference on the 190's.

I'm sure this will draw alot of flames, but keep in mind that LE's flowbench is optimistic when compared to some local benches (Thunder Racing, Larry Meaux, etc.).
