BAD SUMMIT waterSKUNK BAD
DONT SAVE 20 BUCKS BUY MEIZERE WATERPUMPS
I put a SUMMIT WATERSKUNK on and one month later Im on the side of the road; the wiring harns came loose because they did not put a clip of some type on there to keep it together. ( I used about a half a roll of electrical tape..still manage to wiggle apart). Well get It back together 2 weeks later, Im on the side of the road again this time the wiring harness decides to melt altogether. So I just cut it off and wire it up with out the harness. Two months later Im on the side of the road again ( thinking maybe I did not crimp the wires good enough)...nope the wires that go into the bottom of the water pump decided to wiggle themselves out of the darn waterpump. So Im like no problem Ill just take the pump apart and put the wires back in there right...wrong. I take it apart and the inside of the pump is a mess things look like they been burning for a while and rusting. I call summit and they were like sorry warranty is only good for three months but Ill sale you another one.
Re: BAD SUMMIT waterSKUNK BAD
Summit claims that their parts undergo all of this quality control, but by looking at the stuff and how cheap the prices are, I find it hard to believe that their stuff can compete with the some of the big names.
Re: BAD SUMMIT waterSKUNK BAD
Ive had on on mine now for a year and 15,000 miles with no problems. I got the Painless wiring installation kit though and I have had no electrical issues.
