quick egr question

I cant get the egr to hook up to my pacesetters. It was quite off. Im thinking of just doing away with the egr. Will this make me fail the sniffer test? Visual is not a problem. I will have a cat on it eventually. Thank you.

Depends on how MA does it's test. If they run on Dyno like in other states, then maybe. If they only check at idle, no it won't fail you.

I had the same problem. I had to take the header back out of the car, I heated up the EGR pipe on the header for a good ten minutes with a Sears propane torch, and I gave it a good bend with a long steel rod. I had to take the header out a couple of times to get it exact, but it bolted up perfectly after that.

Yeah, we run it on the dyno. Stupid MA.

Think i can bend it without heating it? This one was a pain in the *** to get in and the motor mounts are bolted back in. Also the header bots are just past finger tight holding the header in place. Id rather try to bend it without removing it from the car.
