How high should I REV my lt4 cammed motor??

The cam is an LT4 hotcam on a 110LSA. I was going to have the shift points set at 6k and have the rev limiter at 6500. What do u guys think about this??

For best track times, you probably will want to shift at around 6500. At least that's what you'd want to do with a hotcam on 112, but with yours, you'll need to take it to a dyno first and see how your power curve looks like to know for sure.

Thanks ION. I think we we're planning on maybe coming up there this evening and gettin our tunes set up. Would there be a problem with that? We are the ones that talked to u on the phone last week about coming up from Kokomo, Indiana. Peace, Dustin.

That shouldn't be a problem. Just let me know what time you plan to stop by.

We went to Ion's house last night and he got us hooked up. I havent gotten on the car really bc I didnt have far to drive after I put the PCM back in but let me tell u the idle is so much smoother and the throttle responce is much better. Thank u so much Ion for helping us out on such short notice. By the way.....Ion your car is bad ***. Thanks alot man. Peace, Dustin.

6,500 seems a little high to me. I've been shifting right around 6,000, since it feels like the car doesn't pull much after that. I guess I could try going to 6,500 a couple times at the track next week and see what happens. The engine runs flawlessly, but it just feels like it makes most of it's power between 3-5.5K RPM.

We made one good pull earlier today and it was pulling all the way up till it shifted at about 6300-6400. I was in the passenger seat (yes of my own car) and my friend nailed it and it had me back into the seat all the way and it shifted and barked the tires very nicely. Ion u did a great job on my tune.

You should see a nice gain at the track now from the raised shift points
