Re: power windows

I have problems with the windows on my '98. I fixed the passenger side, and now the driver's side is broken

... again.

The window motors are crappy!

Re: power windows

All GM window motors are bad. We have a 1998 astro van and the motors are out. In my 94' Camaro the driver side door works great for being used for 11 years. passenger side is ready to give out. It still works but goes very sloooow and makes a funny noise.

If your car isn't under warranty shoebox (board member) has a great site with directions on how to put in a new motor yourself. I fixed my window motor myself for $60 (cost of window motor). Dealership will charge several hundred.

Re: power windows

My motor is about to go out on my '99 but you can get a motor for around 40-50 bucks and install it yourself. Instead of spending a few hunderd at a dealership...
