People:

I got a '93 auto 3.4 Camaro with 107K miles. For some reason it idles really rough(console vibrates) and I can not seem to track it down.

I changed the plugs,plug wires,fuel filter,o2's etc.

I even sea-foamed it and thouroughly cleaned the throttle body, IAC, etc. Cleaned the EGR too (with TB cleaner). This does help... a little.

Is there anywhere else I should look? The car runs great when driving is smooth, responsive and as powerful as a 3.4 can be....but when I come to a stop light it just irritates me!

Please help!

 

I would have my motor mounts checked.. could be the problem.

 

oooooo usually camaros and firebirds rattle... i know what u mean... feels like a massage on your back with the seat rattling... i took my cat out and it fixed... dont really know why or how... still rattles a little bit.. oh wait thats because of my monsterous system!!!

 

i replaced my plugs/wires and seafomed (dont remember what i did first) and mine still shakes and stalls at idle. i am thinking that maybe the coils are bad. i have a 93 3.4 w/148000 miles and the coils may still be the original. My o2 sensors have at least 50000 miles on the as long as i have had the car but been in my family since new.

 

I agree my dash was ratting alot just like you are describing and decided to change out my motor mounts and the vibrations nearly went completely away. Still there slightly but no where near where it was before.
