Check out my parts list....
Ok I hope this gets good responce because it took me awhile to figure this crap out. The list is strictly preliminary and im posting it so you guys can help adjust it and help me formulate a good plan of action and maybe help save me some money.
#1) Full out head work going from stock to race setup with gm847 and heads done by Lloyd Elliot.(including hardened pushrods, rockers and springs)-$1600
#2) Moser or Strange rear-end W/ABS and that will hold 650+rwhp.-$2200 shipped(Im still debating if I should buy a used one)
#3) Clutch. Maybe a spec stage 4 or something. Average about $600. Will drive on the street but can cope with a stiff clutch.
#4) 3.5 inch driveshaft. -$200 shipped (used)
#5) Driveshaft Loop- $50 (used)
#6) LT headers-$300 (used)
#7) Exhaust work(IE fabrication of pipe from LT's to 3 in system)-$200
#8) DYNO tune- $100
#9) Need to figure out a way to streghten my t56.-$????
#10) Fuel Pump + Bigger injectors. -$400
#11) SFC's-$130
I DO NOT MIND USING USED PARTS IF THEY WILL BE RELIABLE AND CHEAPER.
And the grand total comes out to about $6000 with these prices. Im looking to reduce that if at all possible.
If my prices are wrong or you know a place where I can buy them cheaper or if my prices are too low, PLEASE let me know. If there are any other parts I left out that should be tackled when doing this, PLEASE let me know.
Thanks Alot, Brian Kaiser

Re: Check out my parts list....
I hope you're going to run something besides a stock timing chain with the 847 cam. To get a decent chain you will need to first do the opti conversion. How are your lifters? There's always a bunch of little things to consider.
Re: Check out my parts list....
My lifters are from the hotcam kit and they only have 4xx miles on them. I have a good timing chain on there. I paid $800 for the HOTCAM KIT. That included a bunch of head parts. Yea but the guy that just did my cars 383 said that the next dyno tunes I do will be for "cheap" because I only paid him $8000 in fees. Yea thanks for chippin in. I posted this soo that you guys would remind me of the little stuff .

Internet ****?
You blatantly ignored the rules that are clearly posted in the advanced tech section about what kind of threads you can start there.
Read the rules first next time and you wont make yourself look ignorant.
Re: Check out my parts list....
all that money into a setup only to run the GM847?
let Lloyd get you one of Joe O's cams that will be much better suited and prolly make more power the nthe 847 could
skip the 3.5" aluminum driveshaft and get one of Dennys nitrous ready steel driveshafts, it will go along way with an M6 car!! and if you ever break it it gets replaced for free no questions asked!
yes buy used on the rearend if possible, you can save yourself about $700 (i know i did)
Spec4 is a good clutch with good street manners
T56 should be fine for along while, maybe worry about the synchros and shift forks (possibly output shaft) when they need to be replaced
get atleast 30# injectors www.gefracing.com has them for $199 new
are you sure the $1600 in head work includes rockers and pushrods? seems kind of cheap to me too inlcude both of them?

Re: Check out my parts list....
Simple, Thanks for the advice. Where did you get your rear end? How much? The spec 4 seems like it will hold the power. The fuel injectors and fuel pump will need and upgrade. I figure I will buy them both for $400 or less shipped. The driveshaft info is golden as I dont know much about them, Thanks. How much for a used shaft like that? I dont really care what type it is as long as it will hold 700 rwhp. Like I said, I dont mind using used parts except for the clutch. Im going to look for the parts used and compare the prices. Keep the information coming, Thanks, Brian Kaiser
P.S. got_hp?, Just relax. Did it hurt your surfing expierence any? If so sorry, but it has helped me leaps and bounds from what I had a feel for just last night. Im not ignorant and understand rules are rules, but if it was an infraction then let a MOD figure it out, Report me if its bothering you too much. Thanks, Brian Kaiser

Re: Check out my parts list....
Where are you going to get a dyno tune for $100, I knoe Mike Norris isn't doing that for you, not at that price.... unless you have LT1 edit and you are doing your own tuning and he is just charging you for time on the Dyno.

i dont bother reporting things. besides, a mod locked it already.
Re: Check out my parts list....
I dont think it will be that cheap, but I would hope that he would help me out with the price with all the work he has dont to my car. I am going to bet on $300 or so for financial purposes.

search on here and i'm sure you can find something semi local to you
new the driveshafts cost about $375, might seem expensive but the warranty/customer service/strength and info on there site they come with is damn near unbeatable plus you have all kinds of options available!!
www.dennysdriveshaft.com
you should be able to get a pump from New Era Performance for about $115 shipped and the injectors new from the website i listed previously for about $200 + shipping so you can get both for well under $400

Re: Check out my parts list....
Quote: i got my Moser 12bolt fully optioned out with everything i was looking for (aluminum cover/4.10's/Billet pinion yoke/3 channel abs/30 spline axles/HD Eaton posi) in the for sale section of this board for $1750 including the Dennys nitrous ready 3" steel driveshaft
How the hell did you manage that? Was it used? Thats a fawking great deal. How often does a winner like that pop up on here? Thanks, Brian Kaiser

Re: Check out my parts list....
And if I want to keep ABS in a 94 is that quite easy or difficult? If the rearend comes without it, can i add it? Do you really have to worry abuot people abusing these rear ends or are they pretty tough?
