I have a ever slight ticking coming from the back part of the motor. It doesnt seem to be there all the time, only when its really been warmed up. I can kind of hear it inside, but its more of a wooshing tick noise, sorta like an air leak. The sound is also on the drivers side in the interior. Would this be a leaking exhaust manifold?

more than likely it's gonna be exhaust... Check the bolts and make sure nothing "backed out". A 94 has had plenty of time to get loose you know

Check the risers on the exhaust manifolds too...mine were loose and took forever to find. I was certain I had a bad lifter, and found it by pure luck.

 

risers not sure what those are but i got ticking to i think its a leak in the egr valve going to my headers

 

i had a tciking noise at the rear of the motor it turned out to be a loose spark plug on number 7 cylinder and the heat shield was ticking agianst the cylinder head..... but mine was more of a uniform tick not a air blowing tick....

The risers are the vertical tubes coming off the exhaust manifolds that point upward. The smog pump runs over to each side to inject air into them at startup. I don't have a picture handy, but someone might...
