Stock HP and computer program
I have a stock '97 Z28. I was wondering how much hp it makes. Also, what computer program can I load onto a laptop and plug into the car to tune and analyze the engine? Thanks

Your car is rated at 285HP.
Since you have OBDII, you're limited to Autotap, which is pretty expensive, but worth the information it can give you. You'll also need a cable from http://www.akmcables.com to receive the information.
AutoTap will only "scan".... to actually "tune", you also need LT1_Edit.

Other OBD-II scan software includes Virtual Dashboard:

And Auterra for Palm:

If you want to know the HP/TQ, take it to a dyno shop. Tuning probably won't give you much until you start modding.
Unless you are a "computer person" and/or really want to understand what data your pcm is getting, I woudn't bother with scanners and diy tuning. Once you gets some mods, mail order tune might be beneficial. JMHO
