Cleaning Filter?? all people with SLP CAI help?!

Well i lost the intructions to cleaning my filters.

I was wundering if anyone knows how to do it. All i can remember is soaking them in soap or something like that. Also you clean them everytime you change your oil right?

its good practice to clean them at oil change intervals (not needed tho) but a good idea none the less

just run soapy water thru them from the inside out (let dry) and go to a parts store and buy a "K&N air filter recharging kit" (bout $15) then spray on liberally, enuf to change the filters back to a dark color after they've been cleaned out but not enuf so it runs out of the filter, too much could be bad at this point

nothing to it, let them air dry for a couple hrs before installing or restarting the car so excess water has a chance to evaporate

yea, I don't go every oil change as I should........I actually don't think I'll clean them for a while because the time it took me to get the filter to stay on has convinced me to never take them off again.

well i dont clean mine out without using it
besides its not like the $15 is only good for one cleaning, it can be used many times over. i've done mine 10+ times now with one recharging kit

cleaning it ever oil change seems a bit excessive, I pretty sure the slp cai filter is close enough to a k&n's filter, and from k&n's website, they said every 30,000 - 50,000 miles of normal street use.

i agree but i still do mine every 2 oil changes
especially since i leave the filters open to the elements, which also makes changing them much easier
