Rear end ABS Sensor
Rear end ABS Sensor
Ive posted before about my low trac light coming on when stopping. Some of yall said it was probably my rear sensor dirty, or the magnet in the rear end was dirty. After trying many times to clean the sensor, back in the day, the only thing that changed was now that when i start driving, after about 20 ft. my ABS INOP light comes on and stays on. Every time i drive. Well i just replaced my rear end fluid
and cleaned the magnet for the first time, hoping that would also solve my problem. But it still happens. So I'm wondering if it could be the actual sensor itself causing the problem...if so has anybody ever replaced it and would that be a hard thing to do? Does it just plug in to the cable coming to it?
Thanks
Bill

There's probably 30 - 40 potential ABS codes. The most common reasons are burnt wires (front). I'd inspect all your wiring; if you don't see a problem get the ABS code read. This will tell you what's failing.
got the same problem after i changed a caliper, the old caliper seized and i think the heat probably damaged the wiring somehow.
i think the sensor is built into the hub so it would be better if it's only wiring.
