Time for a rebuild????

93 TA blew the dipstick up about 2 inches n shot oil out of it yesterday... now the dipstick i realized does push in more than i had it and it would probably stay in but then with the excessive pressures i'll probably blow seals left n right... the PCV valve is working.. theres white smoke puffing out the valve covers where the pcv air in is supposed to be goin... I guess i'll have to get it leakdown tested but i think itz on itz last leg.. anyone else think so?

Grey smoke puffing out your top end saids that your rings lands are gone...time for a rebuild. White smoke out the tail pipe means you blew the head gasket(s) - water is entering the cylinders.

White smoke came out from my valve covers and PCV pipe on the Throttle body... It was a blown piston #5.. and a blown head gasket on the other head that flooded piston number 8

No white smoke out the exhaust though due to piston number 8 being flooded...

Nothing out the exhaust, the car has been idling really bad lately, every few seconds it would miss n drop to arround 500 rpm.. Thanks for the info.

Hey anyone know about the summit rebuild kits?? I see they have the Chevy 350 kits starting at 280 cast and w/ forged trw pistons for 390, not looking to gain power.. i just want it to run like new again

that miss at 500 rpms is that piston falling on its face cuz it has zero compression... trw's are the cheap forged pistons.. they are heavier than stock pistons i believe but can handle more power..
