A piece of metal fell off of my car

Check this out guys. I came home yesterday and when I parked I pulled the handbrake. I heard something fall of my car like a brake pad or something. Thats what I thought at first anyway. I looked underneath but didn't see anything so I thought it musta been something else. I went to work today and didn't notice anything. When I got home I saw the metal piece on the ground. Its a piece about 1/4" thick 4" long and thin...shaped kinda crooked. It musta fell off in my 11" rim and sat there. Any ideas before I bust out my manual??

thanks

You need an account somewhere that you can upload you pic to a server that is tied to the internet. You then link to the pic in your post.
