Need help asap!!

Johnny, Matt, Mike and Payam, check your inbox's please.

Can anybody tell me some simptoms of a bad opti? Would it cause a car to die, and not be able to start (ie no spark)

Let me know asap!!

Thanks

opti's usually but not always start with a bit of a miss and surging that gets worse over time.

if something happened suddenly - and you haven't spray washed the engine and it's ignition relater (no spark ) I'd check the fuses and coil first.

And take a good listen to make sure the fuel pump is still priming when you turn the key to the on position.

Like I said, check your fuses, if your injectors are firing then the opti optical section is fine, if you say you smell it then obviously they are firing. Now check for spark at the coil not the opti, if no spark its either the coil/fuse/ignition module.

The ignition module is the little black thing with a plug right above the coil.

Matt.

Fuses are OK, and there is spark at the coil and the plugs but very weak, there is fuel, the pump primes and I get ~ 40 psi on my fuel pressure guage. But the pump I am hearing is the secondary inline pump for the blower.

Any other suggestions?

Payam, I sent it to your hotmail. I may need that harness off you.
