It was the first year of production for the ZO6, usually in the first year there are some problems or small issues with the vehicle. Also in the 2001 model year they were only rated to 385hp.

 

because in 2002 the z06 got some engine upgrades (increase in hp 385 to 405) and some 2001s were known to burn oil

 

02s have better shocks also

That's a good one but it could backfire on you. The owner might owe more on the lien than it's worth.

 

Shopping for a new vet at the end of 03 I came across a new silver 02 ZO6 at Flag in Surrey listing in the 70's. they cam down to lower 60's right on he spot plus cheap financing. Not trying to flame but I believe this price is way too high. Can get a 02 vert out of today's paper for 55 probably down to 50g's. Look at Draco's deal across the line plus there are lots of vets around for sale. This one does have low miles though but I think he'd be lucky to 50g's.
