All Running ET STREETS & DRAG RADIALS! (Valuable Poll To All)
I will be running ET Streets on my car tommorro, if not them Sunday. I hear you are going to break it, it will be fine. Let's take a poll of how many people with an AUTOMATIC or a MANUAL have had their rearends LAST or BREAK.
I am running 2800 Vigilante stall, 3.73 Gears & DTS Girdle by the way.
Notice their will be an option for Automatic & Manual (ET Streets or Drag Radials)!!!!!

Auto + 3200 + ET Drags + 1.6's =
Oops....did I check ET Drags or Streets? Either way...it held up on countless 1.8 launches but after a night of 1.6-1.7's it went to the happy rear end heaven in the sky.

Auto + ET Streets. Haven't had any problems yet, but I'm in the low 1.6 (maybe and hopefully high 1.5) 60' breakage zone.
When your wheels start getting hang time, all the weight is on the rear axle and its really hard on it.
Although I've seen a 3.42 rear 10 bolt with a T/A stud girdle handle a season full of 1.5 60's and a best of a 1.48 60'.

Broke mine 3 times.
1st time was on the street. Stock trans and convertor, no spray. Broke my Richmond 3.73 gears (something like 10 teeth off the ring gear and 3 off the pinion).
2nd time was at the track with the FLP trans and convertor in my sig, no spray. Ran a 1.8 60'. It went a little after the 60'. Broke my Richmond 4.10 gears I think it was 26 teeth off the ring gear and 6 off the pinion).
3rd time was on the street, no spray. Broke the output shaft in my FLP trans on the 1-2 shift.

Yep, broke em on the street. I occasionally ran them on the street on the weekend. Not too far from home or anything, but just to cruise nights or car shows or if I thought there was going to be some racing going on.
BTW, when I run them on the street, they're always at 28 psi, I never drop them down except at the track.

Auto 3,200 stall 3.23 gear best 60ft is a 1.54 most are 1.60 I run a Solid Pinion Bearing Spacer Seems to help out more than anything else you can do to a 10 bolt.
I ran ET streets one night at the track, made three passes no problem on stock stall. Last year I used to daily drive BFG drag radials and made quite a few passes at the track- no prob- 2800 stall.
Auto, have had ET streets, ET drags and no problems. I have run a number of 1.5 60's on n2o and making 500rwhp! I was making 400+rwhp on motor + a 150shot and had no problems although the car always spins so that may be part of the life of my 10bolt. I use only GM gears too. If you plan on keeping your 10bolt my suggestion would be run it until it breaks then put a set of GM 3.23's or 3.42's and a good posi and you will be fine. I saw first hand a LS1 car run 9.90@136mph on the stock 10bolt with 3.23's

I was running my black car on Nitto's, and funny part is that I never bested my all time low short time on street tires. Never even came close with the Nitto's actually. Best I've gotten off the line with Nitto's is a 1.96.
However, to be fair, I'm now running a street twin, and I don't forsee a long life on anything.
