Question 10 Series Single Chamber Flowmasters

How would a true dual exhaust with 10 series flowmaster race mufflers sound? The setup would be a 2.5" inch system that exited at the rear of the car. Does anyone have this set up on their LT1? I would love to hear some sound clips of it. I've heard it on an LS1 and it was awesome.

It would sound like this:

Right click and save target

And look like this:

This is with stock exhaust manifolds, catalytics, and 10 series
Flowmasters. I have already changed out the mufflers because
is was too loud for me. Unfortunately there is no such thing as
a compromise so now it sounds like a Lexus.

Looks very good , how much did that cost you?

I do not know why it wouldn't pass inspection? He has cats. If you are talking about noise, most state inspections do not check a decibel reading. Now on the other hand, owning a keyboard with a broken caps lock button is quite illegal

The cost was $1,200. I know it's way high, but
I went with CA OBDII approved catalytics that
cost $225 each. You can search for the old post
that has more info if you want.

FYI, the true dual got me 12 rwhp over a 3"
Flowmaster catback system .

True Duals sure do flow

I have heard of people trapping some good MPH's with true duals, and putting down a decent amount of power.

Ground clearance is good. The lowest point is the ball
flange connection just ahead of the rear axle and it's
4" off the ground. My car has stock ride height. It's
possible that my height in the rear is a tad heigher than
stock because of the 315's.
