another cam question,thanks!!!

will this setup work good on my car with 1.6 rr? Is it as good or better than the lt4 hot cam? THANKS GUYS

Comp Cams CC305 with a set of Combination Motorsports CM612 Springs, Retainers, Locks and stock seats. Cam has less than 15k on it, the springs, retainers and locks have less than 5k on them.

You will need new lifters. Yes, that cam is "better" than the Hotcam, depending on what you are wanting it for. Some good 1.6 RR's are Crane Golds...they are a popular choice among guys here. Combination Motorsports can get you both the lifters and the RR's.

Oh yeah, but that cam is a very nice choice. I planned on running that same cam before I changed my mind and wanted something bigger for the rebuild after this summer. That cam is used by a lot of guys on this board and it is still able to maintain daily drivability. Good street cam.

I got comp 1.6rrs, were about $230. That setup should work fine, new lifters and pushrods wouldnt hurt, but arnt required...just inspect your old ones to make sure they arnt damaged. I bought comp R lifters, set was ~$210. If i were you i would get a set of hardened pushrods from CMotorsports also, they are cheap.

From everything ive heard the CC305 runs better than the LT4 hotcam, it alittle wilder.

True. The lifters aren't required, but it's probably a good idea since you have a good bit of miles on the car, I think.

Yeah, that price ain't too bad. Just be ready for the installation price. That's what you'll have to save up some cash for. But congrats on the deal. You'll be happy with that cam. Tell Shannon hey back for me.
