Helped a good friend, named John, to change a motor. He put a 1995 Impalla SS Ironhead motor into his 1995 Pontiac Formula. After freezing to death we finally got the motor in, but it doesn't fire. The friend needs to drive his car to school tomorrow .

Both of us agree that the reason it is not working is that he had a highly modified motor with CC306 cam, heads, long tubes, and Flowmasted carback, with mail in tunning before. John kept his long tubes/exhaust. Now the PROBLEM-the car starts, runs for 3 seconds, and dies. Gives error code 43- ESC FAIL, which means knock senor fail. The car sounds like it's off timing, I know his PCM was custom programmed for a bbig cam.

Good thing is that I do have a tuner cat with definition file, and a datamaster logging software. Could anyone send me a B, or F body stock ECM files to samot2@netzero.com . I do know that B body has a less agressive cam than F body.
