I was going to box mine in, but instead decieded the metal was still to weak and prone to bend, so I went to home depot and bought some pipe and welded them inside, now they are overkill, but I figure stronger is better. I would reccomend new bushings, as the stock ones suck big time, I could flex mine way to much. Boxing in your own is very cheap, less than half the price of aftermarket ones. The steel pipe I bought was 4 dollars each and added two pounds to each side. They were a perfect fit, I had to pound them in ever so slightly and they were sized like they were meant for them. you wouldnt happen to know the dimensions of the pipe off hand would ya? thanks man i'm gonna go that route now instead of buying aftermarket, great stuff!!
also do you have any 60ft times to go along with those compared to stock?

Boxing in the u-channel is a very cheap and effective way to improve the suspension. If you've got the knowhow, you can also make new LCAs out of tubular stock and rod ends. It's a little more expensive than boxing, but will be adjustable.
You usually will want to replace the bushings too. So by the time you mess with boxing and replacing bushings, you could have bought a set of stout/better aftermarket ones. Yeah, you might come out cheaper doing it yourself and you might enjoy doing that. No problem with that at all.
I don't remember the size pipe, I took off one of my control arms and brought it to the home depot, then just found the one that would slip in, like I said though, itis very snug, so after its in. The pipe was some type of plumbing pipe, so there will only be a few different sizes to choose from. Are you welding them in? IF so do slow beads, going cross, at first it messed me up, but soon got it welded good. I suppose you could drill holes and bolt it in, since there are already pre-drilled holes in the arms themselves. A welder would charge very little to do this job. The bushing are bout 40 bucks, so for 50 bucks you've got nice arms, still much cheaper than the aftermarket ones, but don't always look as good. If you have only one car, then, drive down there, and just stick a few different pipes in the arm under the car to see which one it is, also the store can usually cut it and measure it for you for free
