call combo motorsports....they sell them and they are good to deal with........regardless if the price is high or not (i think its deffanitly reasonable from them) that part of the engine is certainly not something to skimp on.

Haha I'm not saying i dont think you knew that already, but it kinda came off like that to me.

Regardless, call CMotorsports, its where i'm getting my new 383 from, and i dont see why it wouldnt hurt. Keep on keepin on brotha

Another vote here for combo motorsports. I can't say enough good things about them.

It is really hard to estimate a price for an assembled stroker motor, since there is so much variability in parts you can use. I have seen them as cheap as $2500 and as expensive as $10,000. Again, it depends on parts, balancing, machining, etc. Figure ur gonna spend at least $5,000 on a high quality shortblock.

I dont mean to make cmotorsports look bad or anything but I found a lot better deal.

Bottom line...Block-clearence, honed, 4-bolt conversion, yada yada yada

Scat forged crank
Eagle H-beam
Je/SRP pistons
comp cam
cloyes double roller (same as sbc because of electric WP)
Billet Splayed caps
Everything balanced and assembled

CMotorsports.......~$5499
www.allchevyengines.com.......~$3750

I dont understand the price difference but I'm looking to save money and thought I would pass on the word to others.

Or maye there is a problem with the reputation of this shop or something that you guys can let me know about before I buy this short block
