Mine is mounted behind the drivers headlight, upside down so the wires face towards the center of the car. Mounted on the backside (flat piece on the engine side) of the core support. I was kinda disappointed that we put it upside down, but you really don't even see it, but that may be because my car is red.

 

In my Camaro it is mounted to the firewall. Whoever did it took a lot of time on it or paid someone for a super clean install. I don't really have a good picture of it, but in this picture here you can barely make it out, pretty much blends in with the brace in this picture. You can't see it in the picture unless you are really looking for it.
