which shocks did 1996 1LE cars have?

were they the single adjustables or the double adjustables? it never occurred to me until now that either way i can put the part number in from the 1LE cars and get the shocks cheap through GM parts direct (or even cheaper go through my friends body shop and say a 1LE camaro got wrecked or something) im not getting shocks anytime soon just wanted to find this out before i forget.

i think the part numbers are 22140240 & 22140228 for front and rear respectively.

'96-'99 1LE (and '01-'02 SLP built 1LE's) had Koni yellow DA shocks.

But GM no longer has any in stock, and will substitute another shock if you order them.

I was looking at ordering a set almost 2 years ago, and Dal got one and it was red and not adjusable

i figured as much that would explain why the part numbers are significantly cheaper then aftermarket places that sell konis. so when people mess one up they are stuck getting some off the shelf OEM replacement that any v8 fbody would get? that blows another master plan shot down

no no i wasnt lucky enough to get the 1LE option i have whatever was standard on T/As, deCarbons or something like that i think? my plan was to pretend i had a 1LE and get replacement konis from a dealership or somewhere for cheaper then an aftermarket company. good shocks arent cheap thats why i was trying to cut a corner. oh well just have to save my pennies
