Who here has removed EGR/AIR w/ stock manifolds

Who here removed the EGR and AIR with the stock exhaust manifolds? Was curious what you call used to block the holes on the top of the pass/driver side exhaust manifold and also, who here has ALSO blocked off the exhaust manifold side of the EGR (passenger) and what did you use? Thanks, I searched and found a topic on this but it was pretty general.

there are 2 options for the airpump...you can 1: leave the black pieces on the mainafold(they let air in, but not out) Or U can 2: take off the black things..then unscrew the adapter from the mainafold and get a 3/4 inch galvanizoed pipe cap and screw that on...as fas as the egr...just take it off and get a piece of metal and cut it to match the hole in the intake...and the tube take it off of the intake and put a penny on the end of the hose where it meets the intake mainaflod and screw it back on, Or u can take it off and cut another piece of metal to match that hole...and another 3/4 inch cap...now for the block off plates u CANT use like a coke can that metal is to thin..some people sell them or make it out of roof flashing...it is called valley flashing and u can get it at any good hardware store cheap. I hope this helps

i removed mine. My friend had some 22mm plugs that he let me use. I then took my egr tube and cut it and remove the tube from the two brackets. I then welded up the hole in the intake side bracket. I then put a bolt in the hole of the bracket and welded it up too. The bolt works as an alignment for the hole in the exhaust manifold. It was free and worked.

I took mine out before a header install so i didnt have to mess with it then, I took the little bolt things that are left after you take the pipes off, to a muffler shop and had them welded shut.. I oredered the block off plates from www.TPIS.com ... Just incase you dont know what im talking about, if you look at the manifolds you can see what looks like 2 bolts(one on top of the other) the very bottom one i took to a muffler shop.. they didnt even charge me to have it done...
