What should I see from my Altenator? What is too low?

It kinda depends on the drain. The closer the voltage gets to 12, the less the battery is going to stay charged. Mine runs at about 13v most of the time and that seems to be good enough. A little higher than that would probably be better and more in the
"normal" range.

mine sticks to about 14...........however my headlights dim once in awhile when shifting gears........not sure why.

If you have one with a plastic fan and a nut that secures the cable to the battery, it is 140 amp.
