Anyone install and poly tranny mount???

It came with a spacer plate. Did you need to use it?

I used it on mine. Haven't had a problem with it since I installed it. Sheared the stock rubbers pretty quick, but this poly does its job well.

i agree. mine was ripped like a jail bitch's ***.
the new one does vibrate a little but not to the point that it is uncomfortable, and gets the job done very well

If installed properly you can hardly notice the vibration. USe the spacer palte, it says to use it. I LOVE my energy suspension poly mount. Some people were saying it has tons of vibration, as I said I hardly notice the vibration at all. Do it, you'll prolly never have a problem again!

I installed it about a couple of weeks ago, and I get pretty uncomfortable vibration from 3500-5000 RPM. It is a Prothane Mount.
Some guy told me, the mount has to be aligned with the tranny/crossmember in a special way. Anybody heard of that?

Has Energy Suspensions fixed the problem with their mount which originally was too tall, causing too steep of driveshaft angle and increased vibration. I know that if you called Energy suspensions the beginning of this year they still hadn't fixed the design. I run a 1LE mount because the "right" poly one wasn't available the end of last year.

I run a 1LE mount. I don't like it and I imagine the poly unit would be worse.

I put on an Energy Suspension mount about 3 weeks ago, and so far I like it. It does transfer a little more road noise and resonance (from the exhaust being attached to the crossmember). I didn't really care for it at first, but I have gotten used to it, and I like the feel of it being more solid. The shifts definitely feel firmer and more responsive as well. I would say do it, it's definitely worth the 20-30 minutes to install, and once you get the old one out, look at the hole in the center of it. Can't be a good thing.

I just installed the energy suspension mount - part number #3-1108.
It is taller than the stock mount and increases the angle of the drive shaft. It definitely is a stiffer mount, which will increase vibration, personally- I like it more, but the shop that rebuilt my transmission insists that I replace it. I will eventually switch to the 1LE or the prothane mount. Has anyone had any problems with the prothane mount?

If you install the energy suspension mount, the rear seal of the transmission may start to leak because the drive shaft is at a different angle. This causes the rear seal to be stressed in a different way.

Note: If you have busted a transmission mount ( I have three times), you need to check the rear seal of your transmission for leaks.
Hope that helps,
TM

why do they insist that you replace it? Because of the increase pinion angle?

After installing the energy suspension mount, the transmission was no longer level. It seems that this type of mount raises the rear of the transmission approximately 1/2". I still have mine in and the car does fine. I think the increased angle may cause the transmission or u-joints to wear out faster. I am looking for a better fitting mount and will keep the energy suspension as a spare.
You could have some shims made up to lower the crossmember, but then you would have ground clearance issues.
