Whats this part and what does it do???

This part is located near the horns hidden by the passenger side front splash guard cover. It’s a black horizontal cylinder about 6” long and 2” dia. There is a small vacuum line that connects it to a wiring harness near the battery. Whats this part and what does it do, can I get rid of it, b/c its taking the place of where I want to fix my n2o solenoids.
Thanks

I have that thing too! My buddy and I have no clue what it is, he says he's never seen it on any other car.

It's a small vacuum reservoir for the heat and air conditioning control operators.

Can it be removed without repurcussions?

I would assume that under extended WOT operation, the heat/AC controls would lose vacuum and the flapper doors that controll the air flow would move to their "no vacuum" position. The vacuum system has a check valve in it, so that under "no vacuum" conditions, the doors are held in position by the vacuum in the reservoir.

Mine is gone, but so is the AC and the car is never driven on the street. One of the horns also seems to have disappeared....

Put the solenoid in the bumper, jets under intake where it connects to tb, and lines through the intake hose to the bottle in the gym bag behind the seat for easy arming.

If nobody knows it is there you don't have it!

If it is for at the track only there are plenty of places to put it without taking anything off.
