Anybody repair a spark plug hole without removing the head???

I need to know whats involved and what tools I need. I was thinking about a Sav-a-Thread kit. The rear most plug on the driver's side is stripped and it makes a ****ty leaking noise.

Man I know it can be done on the car but it would be a complete bitch. I would rather just bring it down to the machine shop and have them helicoil it in 10 minutes. I was actually thinking about helicoiling all the spark plug and head bolt holes... But that would be with the head off. I am doing a xe 224/236 cmotorsports cam kit very soon. I might just wait for that but this leak is really bad and it's getting worse that's why I was weighing my options.
