Installing Autometer Guages.....
Anybody have pics or helpful hints installing these things. Which is the wire to hook the guage light to turn on the light with your headlights. Where do I run the wires it through the firewall.
The guages I am installing are All electric, fuel pressure, nitrous pressure, and a/f ratio. Any info would be great. TIA.

You can hook the gauge light +12V wire into the headlight switch (on and off with lights, fixed brightness), or tap into the output from the dash "dimmer" rheostat (the rotary or slide switch that dims your dash lights. on/off with light, variable brightness). You can access the above switches from under the dash.... probe for the +12V wire with a voltmeter, making sure the voltage goes on and off with the lights.
Easiest place to run the wires through the firewall is the big rubber grommet behind the computer. You need to take the passenger side plastic kick panel off to access the wires after you push them through, then route them up behind the dash to the guages.

I tapped into the Wires in the fuse panel (in the interior on the drivers side labeled "Dimmer") now I can turn on my lights with the fog light button and dim them too. Its a much easier route than taking off the panel to get to the fog light or dimmer switch.
I got the Idea to mount the 2 5/8 vents in the A/C vents from Fred "INJUNEER". See pics

Hope that helps,

I just installed AutoMeter n2o, FP and oil temp. gauges, all electric, so I can help too.
If you use the hole behind the PCM, you'll have to extend the wires on the n2o sender harness. I suggest running all of your grounds together into one larger terminal, and then putting it on the existing ground that is right behind the driver's side kick panel.
As for the lighting, I believe the easiest way is to get an "Add-a-circuit to an existing fuse" type connector, from AutoZone, etc. It replaces the stock fuse, has spots for two fuses (one for the old fuse, the other for the new circuit), and a wire that you connect to the lighting + wires from the gauges. Replace the "dimmer" fuse with this, and you'll have instant dimming on your gauges, and the stock gauges work like stock too. It's great.
Everything else should be self-explanatory, it terms of finding a switchable 12V power supply.
