What size injectors should I run?

I just figured out that my problem to my truck having a dead cylinder and running like crap was injectors that were seriously plugged up w/ rust and crap from s-10 fuel line. I cleaned the best I could and put a inline filter right before the fuel rail.

I am going to get new or used injectors and maybe upgrade while I can. I am running stock f-body pump, stock fpr, and right now semi clean stock injectors. I do have a huge k&n filter hanging right off the end of the maf, 1 3/4 shorty headers going to custom 2 1/2 in y-pipe into 3in catgo hi flow cat, then out to 3in inlet dual 2 1/2 out flowmaster. Engine is stock internally and have LT1 edit and pcmprog to monitor motor and tune.

Just wondering if I should stick w/ stock 24# injectors, or upgrade to something bigger, and what would be too big.

Thanks,

Jeff

It depends on what your plans are for the future.

If you are planning on doing heads/cam or a stroker than now would be the time to upgrade. 30's carried my 383 to 452rwhp.

If you are going to keep it stock, than the stock injectors, or SVO 24's would work fine.

yeah I was thinking maybe cam, tuliped valves, and roller rockers in the not to distant future, Lt4 conversion waaayy down the road. I am just going to have fun with it now and drive the crap out of it now that it's running again.

Just did a complete rebuild on the ignition system, getting ready to install crane cams HI-6 ignition system and LX-92 coil tomorrow night now that I know it isn't ignition.

Just didn't know if I needed larger injectors for the bolt ons, got a laptop on the way, going to scan everything going down the road and maybe start tuning my wot tables.

thanks for the reply.

24's are just enough for all mods except for dry nitrous, supercharger, turbo, stroked, heads..... or any of these in combination.
