BBK shorty headers

I have a 95 Z28 and have a chance to buy a new set of BBK shorty headers for a realy good price. My question is are they any good and what kind of gains can I expect. Thanks

in my opinion, shorty headers are not worth it. eventually you will upgrade to longtubes, so why not buy them now? unless your afraid of the emissions police, in which case i would guess that as long as they are 1 3/4 shorties there shouldnt be any gain over any other shorty.

1 5/8 headers really arent that great, but its an improvement...it'll give ya an honest 10-14 hp..long tubes will give ya 10 more

shorties are fine. Just not that brand. I love my SLP shorties but they are 1 3/4" primaries so they will flow alittle better than most shorties. I would either go SLP's or Mac's.

The BBK headers arent good what so ever! They hangover the exaust ports buy atleast a 1/4 inch, that dont sound like much but it really is.

I have been very happy with mine. Very clean bolt up, with everything matching up just right. My Z is low and I wanted shorties to keep it clean and tight. I noticed more torque after the install. If you want good street header I recomend BBK. Just dont use the supplied gaskets, buy a better quality.

I like my headers. They give a decent horsepower gain, not too great though. If I had to do it again I'd have gotten SLP headers. Hey, if it's really cheap like you say then go for it.

They may not be the "best" made ever. But are they pieces of crap? NO. I got a good deal on mine too, real good, and yes I could tell a difference, I think you should get them.

I am going to get them today, I figure any thing is better than the stock manifolds and I am only spending $150.00 for the ceramic coated ones.
