Plug wire changing

Is it neccesary to re use the cheap wire loom that the original wires are run through? Or just go with out it. Im installing MSD 8.5
wires.

bla!

I left out the loom when i did my wire install b/c the 8.5s are to big for the stock 1/4 inch loom. just make sure that your wires are clear of your manifolds.

Actually Im talking about the black loom the runs the entire length of the wires , I case its supposed to protect them.

No Loom!

Going with out loom is ok just make sure you are not touching anything that will damage you new wires!

Go over the top of your valve covers with a loom kit, much easier to work on.

Loom with 8.5mm MSD

Hi Guys...

Can you use the MADE FOR YOU wire loom (ususally for 7-9 mm wires) with the 9.5mm wires...

OR...should I get a different center bolt loom...got any suggestions ...

I didn't keep any of the stock looms except for the one right next to the opti on the passenger side (which I enlarged with my Dremel to fit 8.5 mm wires). I got a set of Moroso looms (same as MSD/M4U) made for 8.5 mm wires to keep them routed nicely.

The convoluted tubing is a good idea to keep away any mechanical abrasions.
