Engine Ballancer/ Pulley - Does it matter how it lines up ?
Engine Ballancer/ Pulley - Does it matter how it lines up ?
Please dont laugh, I see the arrow on the pulley, but do not see any markings on the hub. Does it matter which way it goes on., ?
There is no key way for the hub to locked into place. It is not uncommon for the entire hub assembly to rotate. So, yes, you can line your pulley up with the hub, but the chances are your hub is not lined up correctly, so does it matter if the pulley is?

i think hes asking if the hub/balancer assembly goes on the crank a certain way. its my understanding that technically it doesnt matter since the hub/balancer assembly is neutral balanced, but that its a good idea to mark the crank and hub so that you put them on the same way they came off. correct me if im wrong please. If the pulley has any weights in the holes in the perimeter (some do), the hub must be put on the same way it cam off or you will get vibes.
