Tranny clean, now what? ***PICS***

I have cleaned my tranny with brake cleaner and a pressure washer. It quit clean but Im wondering if there is anything I should/could do to keep it clean. I kinda think it would look nice just to put a silve paint on it but I figure it will chip off pretty quik and look ugle. FYI the whole underside of my car is being coated with por-15 in gloss black so thats kinda why I want the tranny to look nice.

The por 15 catalog (and probably website as well) has that cast metal coating (I think it's called Metal Mask). Makes the part look like a bare metal casting The picture in the magazine reminded me of a steel or aluminum casting.

Just an idea

P.S. I see you using the POR-15 on the underside of the car. How's the projetct going?
I was thinking of using the quick starter kit to coate my front a-arms and spindle when I do my bushing swap.

Any thoughts, tips or regrets?

DO NOT BUY SEMI GLOSS! It looks crappy. Is what you get is patchy spots of gloss, not an even low gloss luster. I dont even know why they sell it. I bought a gloss enamel spray paint to go over the por-15 just to make it look decent after the ugly patchy glossyness. The starter kit is good, thats what I bought first to, I coated my steeering knuckles as I did the LS1 brake upgrade. Over the project is a pain in the put. With the prep chemicals you are suppose to use its a pain because you have to put them in spray bottles and if your laying under the car like me the spray gets on you. You need to make sure to wear eye protection and a hat to protect your hair(I got a little of the 15 in my hair). Also while the 15 is still wet brake cleaner will remove it from your skin. I did all the degreasing with brake cleaner then followed up with the marine clean the por-15 company wants you to us then used the metal ready followed by the por-15.

Im more looking for an ASAP solution. I didnt plan on cleaning up the tranny it just kinda happened but I need to get the car back together so I cant be waiting for any coatings in the mail. Im more looking for something ,if there is any , that I could go to the local hardware or automotive store and get.

just buy a 500 degree engine paint in aluminum or something then clear coat it. It should last for awhile as long as you prep the surface well.
