I often find that the forum search feature is pretty ineffective. In the past, I've wanted to dig up a thread from the past whose title I mostly remembered- but I'd search for a word or two that I KNEW were in the title, and had that thread not show up. Most recently, I found something to drop in the funny pics thread, and it didn't show up when I searched for "funny", "pictures", or "pics".

Does the search maybe not search through thread titles?

 

VBulletin search is inherently not exactly robust. Check this thread, note post #11.

I run into the same thing all the time......

Search for definate words in a title and never find it. Thenm I assume they were deleted

 

If you think Vb search is bad.. you should see some other cheap/subpar forum software out there. Half the time they won't even complete the search and return a server error.
