Spellcheck

I don't know why I think this but I think there should be a spellcheck in the reply boxes. It's not really needed, but would help out a lot of those less fortuante people

And I wouldn't look like a dumbass trying to spell fortunate <-did I get it right that time?

Just another dumb idea from Kevin

The company that used to provide the spell checker service stopped providing it for free. It used to be free, but like many things, is not any more and we cannot afford to pay money out because people can't spell.

Never fear, there is a FREE Internet Explorer plug-in that is just what you need.

Go to http://www.iespell.com and download and install it. It does spell checking on input boxes on web pages. Did I mention it was free?

If you don't want to use that, we suggest you use a text editor or word processing program to check your posts if you want them to be without error. Or just learn to spell, that doesn't cost any of us anything, either.

...I'm a pretty good speller, so I'm not worried too much about it

Sometimes, it's hard to understand what some people are saying.

Thanks

You are rare, my friend.

I know of nothing of Mozilla spellchecker.

If someone's spelling sucks that bad, use Word to type up your post, spell check it and then copy/paste into the board.

Cool

BTW...there is this cool thing called "Google".

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...a+spellchecker

Looks like it will be in future builds of Mozilla, too!

It might just be for composer, but let me know if it works for forums, too.

[EDIT - one for Firefox, too! http://www.dennis.ca/weblog/archives/000420.php]
