I know maybe I'm being too lazy, but it would be nice to have the search button at the top search the current forum that you are in rather than the whole site. Like instead of having to hit "advanced search" and then click which forum you want it to search, have the main search just do the current one.

 

When you are viewing a specific forum, there is the "Search this forum" box. Does that not do the trick for you?
