Revise the member statuses vs. post counts??

Just thinking of myself and the others who have been here a long time.

I'd like to see statuses for people over 1000, 2000 posts and maybe something extra special for people with over 4000 posts.

At this point anybody with over 100 is a Senior member.

I think 0-49 should be newbie
50-249 = junior member
250-999 = member
1000-1999 = senior member
2000-3999 = prominent member
4000+ = distinguished member

You can adjust the titles to whatever you would like but I think it would be neat to reward those of us who have been around for a while.

I just want mine to read "Huge Member". ;)

A good idea (not yours, Tom. ;)). We have been thinking about something like that and since you brought it up, I just made some changes...

So I got demoted to just a member for making the suggestion? I figured 2200+ posts and 3 years would get me more than just "member", LOL :)

So what are the new various rankings and post counts to get there:

We are still tweaking the levels. Don't worry about it until we finalize them. When we do, we'll post the levels.

thuper, this is a good idea.

I also think this is a great idea!! I was saying to myself,100 posts and your a senior member? At least now you got actually earn your status.;)

one wicked element 10-28-2002 01:21 PM

How does "Advanced Member" fit into the following equation:
  • 0-49 = newbie
  • 50-249 = junior member
  • 250-999 = member
  • 1000-1999 = senior member
  • 2000-3999 = prominent member
  • 4000+ = distinguished member

JasonD (or anybody), in this post:
i was a senior member the other day what happened? (posted by chevyboy_z28) It was stated to look at this thread to see the new rankings/titles and what they mean. I got that part....I'm just not sure how the Advanced Member ranking comes in - Or are they titles still "under construction" ?

Thanks for trying to clear this up. :)
Milo.

[edit]: nevermind found this post:
New user levels - info inside!

Thanks!

Good Idea...I have been a member since May 2001, but didn't really start posting until about May of this year...I felt kind of guilty thinking my little title was the same as some of the "veterans" of the board...

But, What is the final counts?
Is it based on the scale that Chris came up with ot what?

JasonD 10-28-2002 02:59 PM

Okay, here it is:
http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...?postid=281768

New Member (@ post # 0)
Junior Member (@ post #10)
Member (@ post #100)
Prominent Member (@ post #1500)
Advanced Member (@ post #3000)
Senior Member (@ post #5000)
Veteran Member (@ post #10000)
These are the "finals" but are subject to change. :)

Thanks for the suggestion!
