Re: Read Reciept in PM's

It prompts you and asks if you'd like to request a read reciept... however, it then gives you no option other than to say yes.

It does the same thing when recieving a PM. It asks if you would like to confirm reciept, then gives you no option other than to say yes.

It's pointless, really. Why ask if the only answer is yes? It's just annoying.

Hit cancel or X and the box pops up twice, you get another prompt to close. It's a bug obviously.

Re: Read Reciept in PM's

I just tested it with IE6 and Mozilla Firefox 0.91 and it's works perfectly. Are you guys running some sort of Firewall, or Pop Up blocker that perhaps is not allowing you to close these?

Re: Read Reciept in PM's

I've got a cable modem with a microsoft router (firewall), I'm also running Norton Internet Security with the settings pretty high.

Would this have something to do with it ?

If not, I guess I'm gonna have to live with it

Re: Read Reciept in PM's

You can try and disable the Norton Security, then give it a shot - if it still happens, then you know Norton is somehow interfering. I worked with a person through e-mail before and Norton wouldn't even let the person post on the Message board (after lots of troubleshooting, we found out it was Norton).

I use the latest versions of Firefox, IE and Netscape and have never had this problem before.
